[Book] The Cat That Never Died

...or That Cat Who Couldn't Die, or The Cat That Didn't Die...something along those lines.

I must have been in Kindergarten or 1st grade when I read it for the first time. The particular edition I read from was a yellow hardcover with orange and black block drawings on the cover. The book revolves around a young, school-aged boy who is given a pet cat by his archeologist uncle (?????). The cat is black and described as quite large (I always imagined it to be about the size of a medium/large dog, though I don't know how accurate that is) and is given an Egyptian name, I am guessing probably Bast or Bastet. There is quite the Egyptian influence to the story and it is implied that Horus appears at the end, in the form of a hawk, to take the cat back home.

[Book] The Wolf

I believe it is a children's nonfiction book. It has a white cover with a wolf sketched in black on it. The story follows a wolf pack as they go about their daily life. In one scene, the wolves are traveling across a tundra and the 'uncle' (I think his name is Two-toes, or something similar) is shot from hunters in a helicopter. The pack doesn't want to leave him but they have to.

Anyone know this one?

[Movie] Apricots of Life

I'm looking for a movie, created no later than 1995 and probably a good deal before that. The main character (either a boy or a girl, I can't remember) goes on a quest through a mirror to heal his/her ailing mother. Towards the end of the movie the character is allowed to pick small fruits (they look like apricots) that will heal the mother. The only catch is that they must be held in a glass chalice/bowl and will disappear if they touch the floor. The main character fills up their glass container and starts running to make it to the mirror again (or possibly a lowering gate of some sort) and drops their container all over the floor making all of their fruit disappear.

I can't remember how the movie ends. Anyone recognize the bit that I do remember?

Edit:The Hugga Bunch (1985)
